Metropolitan Machine Knitters Guild

The Metropolitan Machine Knitters Guild held its first meeting in 1985. MMKG is a nonprofit organization that meets once a month in the Portland Oregon metropolitan area. The goal of MMKG is to educate machine knitters; to help advance machine knitting skills and to help build confidence in machine knitting skills. All makes of knitting machines are represented in the group. Each year MMKG has a 3 day retreat at a nearby retreat center where we knit and knit and knit. Our group does some charity knitting throughout the year.

We are a fragrance free group currently meeting on the 3rd Saturday each month at a location near Oregon City.
